Howell police find inactive grenade in movie theater parking lot

HOWELL -

Police responded to reports of an explosive device at a movie theater in Howell Friday night.

Investigators converged on the Xscape Theatres on Route 9.

They say an inactive grenade and two handguns were found in a car in the parking lot.

One person was taken into custody.

The theater was evacuated during the investigation.

The theatre was expected to reopen Saturday.
