Police: 6 arrested at Kearny Walmart

Six people were arrested inside the Kearny Walmart early Monday morning, according to police.

The arrests happened around 3 a.m. at the Walmart on Harrison Avenue.

News 12 New Jersey was told that the people arrested were armed with paintball guns when they went into the store. It was not known if the individuals shot any paintballs inside.

Kearny police would only say that it was a shoplifting incident. They did not provide any other details about the arrests.

No injuries were reported.

Police did not release the names of the people arrested.
