Officer on beach patrol extinguishes garbage can fire in Seaside Park

Posted: Updated:
SEASIDE PARK -

A police officer put out a fire in a garbage can in Seaside Park.

The incident happened on 11th Avenue Beach when an officer on beach patrol saw smoke and flames coming from the trash bin.

The responding officer then put out the flames himself.

An investigation was conducted but no cause has been determined.

Circumstances surrounding the incident are suspicious because of Tuesday's Ice Cream Hut fire that happened just blocks away.
