Officials: 3 families displaced after overnight house fire

Fire officials say three families were displaced after an overnight house fire in East Orange.

The incident happened on 81 Teleford St. at a two-story house.

Officials say the fire was contained within an hour. They say it started outside on the first floor behind the house and quickly spread to the second floor.

The neighboring home also suffered minimal damage in the fire.

The Red Cross of New Jersey is assisting the displaced families.

Officials says no one was injured and the exact cause of the fire is still unknown.
