EAGLESWOOD -

New Jersey State Police say that two adults were killed and a teenager was injured when an SUV crashed into a restaurant in Eagleswood.

Authorities say that a GMC Acadia was traveling northbound on Route 9 around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday when it crossed into the southbound lanes and crashed into Calloway’s Restaurant and Bar.

According to police, 54-year-old Patty Rulon, of Manahawkin, and 91-year-old Albert Rulon, of Tuckerton, died as a result of the crash. Police say that Patty Rulon was driving at the time of the crash.

The driver’s 15-year-old son, Charles Rulon, remained hospitalized as of Thursday morning with serious injuries.

The owner of Calloway's says that no one in the restaurant was hurt.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
