MILLBURN -

Dozens of New Jersey families were without water overnight due to a main break.

Officials with New Jersey American Water said a 16-inch water main broke along Whittingham Terrace in Millburn Thursday evening. Thirty to 40 homes were expected to be without service overnight.

Officials said other homes were likely to have low water pressure.

Crews were made repairs overnight, and a spokesperson that water company said service was restored around 6:30 a.m. Friday.

The water main was installed in 1931, according to New Jersey American Water.
