Police: Gillette man arrested for beating man in armed robbery

A man was arrested at one of his relatives' homes after a violent robbery in Summit.
Police say 26-year-old Louis Pietrantuono, of Gillette, is charged with armed robbery in the incident that took July 9 at a Shell gas station in Summit.
Pietrantuono allegedly attacked a 65-year-old gas station attendant, hit him over the head with a wrench, dragged him and beat him with a metal post. He also got away with $600.
The victim's son told News 12 at the time that his father sustained two broken ribs, had to get stitches over his eye and on his head, and sustained back injuries.
Pietrantuono is currently being held in the Union County Jail.
