A Union Township man attempted to break the world record for the world’s oldest skydiver.
Kenneth Meyer is 102 years old. He completed a tandem jump at Skydive Sussex in Sussex County Thursday afternoon.
Meyer is trying to take the title away from the current record holder, 101-year-old Bryson William Verdune Hayes, a D-Day veteran from England.
“I’ve got three medals from the Penn Relays. I’m a big sports fan, played golf, did everything,” Meyers says. “I believe it’s hereditary. My mother was 100 and my dad was a playboy like me.”
Skydive Sussex is waiting to hear from the Guinness Book of World Records to confirm Meyer's feat.
