A Paterson woman seen in video footage using a hammer to smash a parked car with her children and their father inside is facing charges for the incident, according to a report from NorthJersey.com.
Paterson police told NorthJersey.com that the unidentified woman is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, domestic violence and criminal mischief.
Authorities said they were made aware of the incident after the video was posted to Facebook. The incident reportedly took place Sunday afternoon on East 24th Street.
In the video, which the children’s father reportedly recorded, shows the woman smashing the windows of the car as her children cry in the back seat.
Police told NorthJersey.com that the children were not hurt in the incident.
