Neighbors livid after cars vandalized overnight

At least half a dozen cars were vandalized on Mead Street in Newark Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Neighbors say that they came out Wednesday morning and saw that car windows were broken and the cars were damaged. In some cases, the damage was so severe that the owners were not able to get into their cars.
Angry neighbors say that whoever did this needs to have more respect for their neighbors.
“They said they were going to pull together a neighborhood watch program,” says resident Bessie McKnight. “I hope they do because I would participate in that.”
The crime was caught on a nearby surveillance camera. Video shows at least one person going around and damaging the cars.
Anyone who might have any information about the incidents is asked to call Newark police.
