Montclair police are investigating a road rage incident in which a dog was thrown to the ground.

A video posted online showed the undated incident on Bloomfield Avenue near Gates Avenue. The video shows two men arguing after some type of traffic accident. 

The men get into a scuffle and then one of the men reaches into the other man’s car, pulls a small dog from the door and throws it to the ground.

The man who is seen throwing the dog then gets into his car and speeds away.

Police began their investigation after members of the public sent them the video.

“Montclair PD is aware of and is actively investigating the video depicting a suspected road rage incident. We would like to thank the public for all their efforts in bringing this matter to our attention,” police posted on their Facebook page.

The dog was not seriously hurt in the incident.
