Newark police say that no charges will be filed following the disappearance of an 8-year-old girl.

Nevaeh Blaine was reported missing Sunday morning from the Bradley Court housing complex in Newark.

She was found around 11 p.m. unharmed at Newark Penn Station. Police say that she was with a woman described as a friend of the girl’s mother.

Police did not say why the girl was with the woman, or why other family members did not know where she was.

The girl is now in the custody of her grandmother, according to police.
