Police: Woman shoplifted from Morristown charity organization

Police are searching for a woman who they say stole about nine pieces of jewelry and handbags from a charity organization.
Lucy's Gift, located on South Street in Morristown, donates all of its profits to local charities.

Officials say the woman shoplifted about $600 worth of merchandise. They describe the woman to be in her 20s with long brown hair.
Police say she was spotted on video grabbing bags and jewelry and chatting with employees in the store.
They say after 15 minutes of browsing a handful of merchandise, she took off and employees chased after her.
They say the woman ran down Elm Street and eventually escaped in a gray Honda.
Owner Marisa Spagnoletti says it hurts because those proceeds are meant for people in need, such as war veterans and those battling domestic abuse.
"It's horrific people hurt and steal,” she says. “In our case, this woman was told about our charity mission."

Anyone with information is asked to call Morristown police.
