PASSAIC -

One person was shot and two others were stabbed during a melee early Wednesday morning near a strip club in Passaic, authorities said.

Police said the incident happened outside The Palace Gentlemen's Club on Main Avenue.

Passaic police Lt. Jonathan Schaer told News 12 that a 32-year-old man was shot and two others were stabbed with a box cutter.

News 12’s Tony Caputo reported that all three victims were taken to Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Patterson for treatment.

Schaer said the shooting victim underwent surgery and was in critical condition. He said the stabbing victims were both treated and released from the hospital.

There was no immediate word on what prompted the incident. No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing, Schaer said.
