1 dead after fire at Newark public housing complex

NEWARK -

A man has died after a fire broke out in his apartment at a public housing complex in Newark.

The fire at the Seth Boyden apartments happened early Tuesday morning.

Emergency responders found Tyrone Heard in his first-floor apartment. He was pronounced dead a short time after. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

No other injuries were reported in the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
