A mother hen is raising a group of ducklings as if they were her own children.

Lisa Kelly says that eight abandoned duck eggs were found at a construction site three weeks ago. She says that her family brought them home to stay with their chicken “Peaches” who quickly adopted the eggs until they hatched.

The ducklings follow Peaches around the Kelly family’s property.

“I think it’s amazing. I’m shocked,” says Kelly. “They love her as a mother and she’s super overprotective. It doesn’t matter if she’s the real mother or not…it’s a love story of mother and children.”

Kelly says that once the ducks mature, they will join the many other ducks in her Brick township neighborhood.
