Lawmakers celebrate marriage equality law anniversary

Some of New Jersey’s lawmakers celebrated the two-year anniversary of the marriage equality law.
Rep. Josh Gottheimer joined LGBTQ advocates Monday to talk about the progress they've made.  He also praised New Jersey towns but says that the work they've done is just the beginning.
“That 5 – 4 decision in the Supreme Court, while a massive leap forward, told us that discrimination in these communities might, under the law, come to an end,” he said. “Families across the nation, even in New jersey, still face too many obstacles.”
Gottheimer said that his next goal will be to promote credit equality, not just in New Jersey, but across the country for same-sex couples.
