Petition to recall councilman filed following dispute

A recall petition was filed Wednesday morning against a Wayne Township councilman following an expletive-filled tirade caught on camera.
Councilman Richard Jasterzbski got into an argument with Susan Enderly, a candidate for the Republican State Committee, allegedly over missing signs for mayoral candidate Lonni Miller Ryan. The argument was recorded by Enderly’s daughter.
Jasterzbski has apologized for the tirade, but says that he refuses to resign, despite repeated requests.
The recall petition needs 1,300 signatures within five months to trigger a special election.
The council has no legal authority to remove a member from their post, but they passed a second symbolic "no confidence" resolution during Wednesday night's council meeting.
Jasterzbski says that he will be forced to take legal action if anyone makes slanderous or discriminatory accusations against him.
Jasterzbski says that he will continue to represent his constituents.
