An alleged bagel bandit was arrested after getting busted for stealing from a popular Bayonne bagel shop while it was open for business.
The owner of Supreme Bagels and Sandwiches says while he and his staff were preparing sandwiches in the back, the suspect filled her purse with bagels and cakes, plus cash from the register and tip jar.
Once some customers caught on to what she was doing, they immediately alerted the shop's owner.
"We saw her outside. We confronted her," says co-owner Emad Soliman. "She had the cash on her that she actually stole, I was able to get that back. We called the cops right away."
The alleged thief's identity has not been released at this time.
