A late night tweet from President Donald Trump had many scratching their heads Wednesday morning.

Just after midnight Wednesday, the president tweeted: “Despite the constant negative press covfefe.”

In general, the tweet was being questioned, even if it’s assumed “covfefe” was supposed to be written as “coverage.”

Some New Jersey residents shared their reaction to the tweet with News 12 New Jersey.

“Maybe it was something he learned when he was out of the country,” Newark resident Dwayne Cohen said.

Others said they had no idea what the word potentially means.

Trump deleted the tweet early Wednesday morning and sent out a new one, poking fun at the mystery word.

“Who can figure out the true meaning of "covfefe" ??? Enjoy!” he tweeted around 6 a.m.
