New Jersey residents had to bring back out their jackets this week just days before June.
The National Weather Service reported that the average temperature for May this year was just 61 degrees, which is 1.3 degrees below the normal average.
Daily high temperatures for this time of the year are generally in the mid-70s, but this week New Jersey has been dealing with temperatures in the 50s.
Many in the area say they wish it was warmer, but expect the cold weather to break soon.
