Driver injured when car carrier overturns on NJ Turnpike

The driver of a tractor-trailer carrying junked cars was hurt when the truck overturned Wednesday afternoon.

New Jersey State Police say that the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on the southbound New Jersey Turnpike/Interstate-95 express lanes near Exit 72A and Route 4.

Police say the driver suffered injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

The southbound express lanes were closed for several hours after the crash.

Officials did not say if other vehicles are involved in the crash.
