The first portion of Exit 91 on the Garden State Parkway is set to reopen after three years of construction.
The project is set to provide traffic relief on Burt Tavern Road and Lanes Mill Road in Brick Township by providing multiple entrance and exit ramps onto the highway. The previous interchange only had an exit ramp for southbound motorists.
Brick Township Mayor John Ducey says that the next interchange would allow more room for drivers to maneuver.
Officials say that the exit should be fully opened in both directions by Memorial Day.
