Forecast: Clear overnight; thunderstorms possible Tuesday

New Jersey saw mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures in the 60s and 70s to start off the work week.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that conditions should remain mostly clear for the rest of the day, but that rain and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday.

Monday’s overnight hours should see a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures in the upper-50s.

Tuesday should see mostly cloudy skies with some rain possible. Curren says that thunderstorms may develop late in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures should be in the 60s.

Wednesday is expected to see mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low-80s. Temperatures may cool into the 60s overnight.

Thursday should also see sunny skies and temperatures in the low-80s.

Curren says that the weather for the Memorial Day weekend is still up in the air, but there could be some rain.
