Holiday Weekend Forecast: Cloudy with periods of rain

New Jersey is expected to see moderate to heavy rain for the rest of the holiday weekend.

After a night of scattered thunderstorms, News 12 New Jersey meteorologists say Sunday will be chilly and breezy with temperatures in the low-mid 60s. There will also be periods of rain and cooler temperatures along the shore.

Sunday night will continue to be cloudy with scattered showers.

Monday is expected to start off rainy with highs around 72 degrees. The sun is expected to come back later in the day.

The weather should improve by Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies and highs around 88 degrees.
