New Jersey is expected so see some sunshine Wednesday as the threat of the season's first snowstorm looms for Thursday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio says the snow is expected to start in New Jersey by Thursday around noon. Gregorio says the wintry mix will consist of snow, sleet, and rain.

The northwest corner of the state could see between 3-5 inches of snow. The rest of the northern part of the state, as well as some central areas, should see between 2-4 inches of snow. The rest of the state should see a coating of snow or a mix of rain and sleet.

Wednesday will be in the low-40s, with a mixture of sun and clouds. Conditions will be breezy and chilly.

Temperatures overnight will drop into the low-30s, with skies becoming very cloudy. Conditions will be cold.

Friday should see rain, with temperatures in the mid-40s.
