Forecast: Partly cloudy overnight; sun and clouds Tuesday

New Jersey saw mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the 60s Monday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Justin Godynick says that sun and clouds are expected for Tuesday, followed by heavy rain Wednesday.

Monday’s overnight hours should see partly cloudy skies with temperatures cooling into the low-40s.

Tuesday should see a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures in the low-60s. The weather should turn mostly cloudy by the evening, with a chance of rain by around 9 p.m. 

Godynick says that Wednesday is expected to be a washout with heavy rain in the morning and scattered showers for the rest of the day. Temperatures should reach the upper-50s and low-60s.

Thursday should see partly sunny skies with temperatures in the upper-60s.
