Curren says that Thursday's evening commute is expected to be messy. Anyone who is able to work from home, may wish to do so to avoid having to be out when conditions are dangerous.

The northwest corner of the state could see between 3-5 inches of snow. The rest of the northern part of the state, as well as some central areas, should see between 2-4 inches of snow. The rest of the state should see a coating of snow or a mix of rain and sleet.

Curren says that a wind-driven rain is expected along the coast.

Friday should see rain, with temperatures in the mid-40s.

Mostly sunny skies are expected for the weekend with temperatures in the 40s.
