Forecast: Hot and humid; thunderstorm possible Friday

EDISON -

New Jersey saw sunny, hazy skies Thursday with temperatures in the 90s across most of the state.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for parts of the state due to the hot and humid conditions. New Jerseyans should try to stay cool and drink plenty of water if they are outdoors.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers say that the hot and humid conditions are expected to remain Friday.

Thursday’s overnight hours should be partly clear with temperatures in the mid-70s. Humid conditions are expected to remain.

Friday should be mostly cloudy with the chance of a thunderstorm later in the day. High temperatures should be around 91 degrees.

Saturday is expected to see rain in the morning, followed by mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures should be slightly cooler in the upper-70s.

Sunday should see sunny skies with highs around 80 degrees.
