NJ police: MTA slaying suspect dead after standoff in Hackensack
The man who the NYPD has been seeking since the shooting death of his girlfriend in East New York earlier this week is dead, New Jersey police say.
Authorities found Zire King, 44, hiding out in his Hackensack home Friday. Tactical officers swarmed the building around 2 p.m., and a five-hour standoff followed.
Police eventually entered the house and found him dead inside. Details of his death were not immediately available.
King was suspected in the death of his girlfriend, Jacqueline Dicks, 41.
