A teenager was saved by police from drowning in Prospect Park Saturday evening.

Officials say the 15-year-old jumped off a ledge at the Prospect Park Quarry. They say they found the boy struggling in the water and pulled him to safety.

The victim was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The officers involved in the rescue were treated and released after sustaining minor injuries.
