Dozens in NJ arrested on child pornography charges

More than 40 people were arrested in New Jersey Thursday on child pornography charges.
State Attorney General Anne Milgram says the suspects were in possession of or distributing videos of child rape involving kids as young as 4. Police say almost half of those busted in Operation Silent Shield were found on social networking sites often visited by children and teens.
Those arrested include a retail associate, a construction worker and a trade show coordinator. Police say the suspects range in age from 14 to 71 and include one woman. Investigators also say one of the suspects was actually downloading child porn at the time of his arrest.
According to investigators, the multi-agency effort began in August and is not over yet. Investigators say they know of many other child porn users who will soon be in custody.
