Passaic firefighters lose one of their own in crash

Members of the Passaic Fire Department are coping with the loss of a fellow firefighter Wednesday.

The fire chief says Jowan Davis, 32, was killed when his motorcycle collided with a disabled vehicle near Exit 10 on Route 21. Investigators say although Davis was wearing his helmet, the impact was too severe.

Friends say Davis was born and raised in Passaic. He had been with the fire department for seven years. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. The fire chief says Davis will be buried with full firefighter honors.
