For a Morristown soup kitchen, a pastor in a clown suit is part of its way to bring attention to hunger in the Garden State.
Pastor Neill Tolboom started dressing up like a clown and riding around Morristown on a tricycle after his church youth group reached a charitable goal. The group raised $2,100 for the Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown.
Last winter the kitchen fed 275 people a day, but expects to feed up to 300 a day this winter.
Tolboom aims not just to bring attention to soup kitchens, but to point out that food banks across the area are struggling as well.
