Police are investigating whether a fast-moving fire that swept through three homes in Irvington Sunday was a result of foul play.
More than two dozen people on Grove Street were left homeless in the early morning fire, but all of the families made it out safely. The Red Cross is stepping in to provide assistance for those displaced.
Residents of the homes say they were upset to hear the fire may have been set on purpose by a neighbor?s ex-girlfriend.
The mother of the boy whose ex-girlfriend was arrested says she saw the girl outside at the start of the fire before she took off running.
Authorities have yet to release an official cause of the fire. There has been no word on whether the woman in custody is facing any charges. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
