Hoboken SWAT team disbanded over racy photos

On his first full day on the job, new Public Safety Director Bill Bergin disbanded Hoboken?s SWAT team after racy photos of team members were posted on the Internet.

The newly posted photos include SWAT members posing in uniform with weapons and women at an Alabama Hooters. The photos showed up just a week after pictures of Hoboken Police Chief Carmen La Bruno posing with a Mardi Gras flasher surfaced.

Bergin says he is not only disbanding the SWAT team, but La Bruno could be punished too. Bergin plans to present his preliminary report on the incident and photos to the City Council Wednesday night.
