State of emergency declared in New Jersey as state could get up to 10 inches of of snow

(11/22/07) MONTCLAIR ? The Salvation Army is gearing up for a day of giving back on Thanksgiving.
In Montclair, volunteers for the organization will serve more than 1,000 meals to the needy on the holiday. Representatives say volunteers spent weeks of preparation and two intense days of cooking to get everything ready. More than 100 volunteers are part of the effort.
About 120 people will be served at the Montclair location. After that, additional food will be packed up and delivered to about 800 others.
