Giants fans face stepped up security at Meadowlands

Security was on the minds of many at Sunday?s Giants game after reports of sexual harassment at one of the stadium?s gates surfaced last week.
Sunday?s game was the first held at the Meadowlands since a New York Times article detailed several incidents of harassment against women at a Nov. 18 Jets game. Men allegedly goaded women into taking off their tops along a spiral runway at halftime.
Some fans said the incident remained in the back of their minds while attending the game, but others said the story has been blown out of proportion and feel comfortable bringing female friends or relatives to games.
Officials, however, didn?t take any chances with security. Police presence was stepped up at Gate D, where the activity took place, and around the stadium.
A spokesperson for the NFL called the reported fans' actions unacceptable.
