A woman accused of having a party for underage drinkers in Carteret claims she was asleep and unaware of what was going on.

Police raided Nancy Hart?s garage Nov. 18 after complaints from neighbors about a loud party. According to police, at least 30 kids under the age of 21 were drinking alcohol. Authorities also say officers found cocaine at the party.

Hart told police she was asleep during the party. She is scheduled to appear before a municipal judge this week. Police say Hart, as well as the teens, may face more serious drug charges depending on the outcome of their investigation.

Police say Hart will most likely pay a fine, if she is found guilty. They add that the parents of the teens at the party were notified after the incident.
