Six-alarm blaze damages 6 businesses in Fort Lee

A powerful fire in Fort Lee has damaged six separate businesses. Officials say the six-alarm blaze began around 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Main Street. According to officials, the fire started at the Main Street café. Also affected by the blaze were a clothing store, bakery, computer store, restaurant and the local VFW.Firefighters told News 12 New Jersey that they had a hard time battling the blaze, but were able to fight it from inside the VFW. Fire officials are still trying to determine what caused the blaze.
