Stabbing in Brick sparks multi-county manhunt

Police in multiple departments are searching for a Brick man suspected of stabbing his wife and son with a pocket knife.

According to police, 45-year-old Christopher Fasano stabbed his both wife and 10-year-old son in the hands Sunday night. Investigators say he then fled from Brick to the Garden State Parkway in a white pickup truck with the license plate number S-A-L-9-5-L.

Police say Fasano has a home or at least a place to stay in Pennsylvania.

Investigators say police from Holmdel and Middletown got involved in the search. Fasano is accused of sideswiping a police car in Holmdel.

Fasano is considered armed and dangerous. Police describe Fasano as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing about 140 lbs.

Fasano is facing a variety of charges, including burglary and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Fasano's wife and son are expected to be fine.

Anyone with information should call the Brick Township Police Department at (732)262-1100.
