NJ thaws out after first major storm of the season

New Jersey residents thawed out Friday after the first major storm of the season.
Drivers were told to use caution even though the storm was over. Experts say many roads are still slippery and that motorists should watch out for black ice.
The storm also caused some damage across New Jersey. In Westfield, one family had to leave their home after a tree ripped a hole in their roof and knocked out power.
Over in Florham Park, the Department of Public Works kept busy throughout the night, clearing roads for drivers.
The mix of snow, sleet and rain also caused numerous crashes across the Garden State.
Dozens of schools in New Jersey had delayed openings Friday due to the storm.
There is another snowstorm expected to hit the Garden State this weekend. For footage and an interview about NJ?s snowstorm damage, go to Channel 612 on your iO digital cable box and click iO Extra.
