Volunteers sell crafts to raise funds for foster children

Volunteers in Bergen County are selling crafts for the holidays to raise money for foster children.

Liz Mason of Children's Aid and Family Services says proceeds from The Depot have been helping families for 42 years. She says the money raised is used to provide child care for foster children and help the kids find permanent homes.

The Depot is entirely staffed by volunteers like Peggy Tamily, who has been donating her time for more than three decades. "It's given me more than I've given it in the 33 years. It's the banding together," says Tamily.

Volunteers say the shop has raised more than $1 million over the years to help children and families in need.
