Newark Liberty International Airport is experiencing hour delays for some flights. Some had feared the worst for the holiday rush since heavy winds last weekend caused up to 2 and a half hour delays.

Experts are providing tips to those using air travel this season on how to avoid some typical issues. Anyone flying with gifts is being advised not to wrap prior to takeoff in case the present needs to be inspected.

Travelers are also being advised to use clear packaging for easy screening and labels so as not to lose anything in the madness.
