A New Brunswick soup kitchen is going all out this holiday season to help low-income residents and the homeless with a variety of services, programs and special holiday meals.
Elijah?s Promise offers nutritious meals, social services, health screenings as well as business and culinary arts job training.
The kitchen?s Christmas event featured a beautifully decorated table setting, Christmas tree and a meal of swordfish, mixed vegetables, macaroni and cheese and salad prepared by Head Chef Charles Evans.
Evans says it?s a pleasure using his culinary skills to put smiles on the faces of people in need during the holidays. Other staffers and volunteers echo that sentiment.
Some of those people in need say they want others to know about how much good Elijah?s Promise can do.
