Several gas station attendants robbed at knifepoint

Three gas station attendants were robbed at knifepoint over the weekend, resulting in a loss of thousands of dollars.

Harry Singh?s Coastal gas station was one of the three stations on Route 516 that was robbed. ?My gas attendant went to the bathroom, [the thief] came in behind him with a knife and said ?give me all the money?,? said Singh.

The attendant at Coastal struggled with the thief and received knife cuts to his leg and hand. Police say the thief made off with nearly $1,000.

There was also a struggle at a Getty gas station with a teenage gas attendant, who received a cut on his face and whose jacket was torn. According to police, Getty lost $2,000 in the robbery. Neither of the attendants were seriously hurt.

Police say hundreds of dollars were also taken from an Exxon station, but no one was injured in that robbery. The three stations said the thief was on foot.

Police are not sure if the robberies are related. No arrests have been made.
