Police say a man was doused with gasoline and set on fire Monday in a Hanover parking lot.Police say the incident occurred in the parking lot of an industrial park on Wing Drive. That parking lot is located next to the Consolidated Bearing Company, but that company's president says all of his people are present and accounted for.
In an interesting twist to the story, police say it was the victim himself who called 911.
"At 2:32 this morning, the Hanover Township Police Department received a call from the victim requesting assistance," says Capt. Jeffrey Paul of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. "Police responded and found the victim had been burned."
Investigators appeared to be focusing on a pickup truck at the scene, which they eventually took away. The victim is believed to be in critical condition at St. Barnabas Medical Center.
