Police in South Orange have issued a warrant for the arrest of a 17-year-old girl accused of stealing a teacher?s car.
Security cameras caught the girl at South Orange Middle School, before the winter break, with a tray of treats. Video shows the girl wandering the hallways and taking a set of car keys from a classroom. Police say another security video shows the teen using the remote key fob to find the car the keys belong to and then driving away in the Toyota.
Authorities used the security video to identify the teen and later issued a warrant for her arrest.
Meanwhile, the stolen car was spotted in East Orange a week later with two young men inside. The men, Raymond White and Daymon Foster, were charged with receiving stolen property. Police say the two have not been cooperative in the investigation.
