Man charged for allegedly watching porn in church

A Hamilton man is facing charges for allegedly stealing a set of keys in order to watch pornography on the computer of a female priest at Grace St. Paul Episcopal Church.

Police say 42-year-old Thomas Findler was caught by a church custodian. Authorities believe he gained access to the computer by stealing a set of keys. Findler allegedly ran out of the building with the pornography still on the desktop. He was chased by the custodian before a police officer was flagged down to make the arrest.

Findler has been charged with burglary and theft. He could face stiffer penalties if investigators find he was viewing child pornography.

Church officials say the situation is now in police hands. Findler is due back in court Friday.
