2 NJ cops seriously hurt in Palisades crash

At least two New Jersey motorcycle officers were seriously injured after colliding with a box truck in Palisades, New York Thursday.
Authorities say a group of uniformed police officers were returning to New Jersey after participating in a funeral escort. They were heading south on Route 9W back to the Garden State. According to police, a truck heading north crossed into the southbound lanes and hit the officers.
One officer was taken to Westchester Medical Center. The other was taken to Englewood Hospital in New Jersey. Bergen County?s police chief says one of his injured officers lost a leg in the crash.
A police accident investigation team was on the scene. No charges have been filed against the truck driver involved in the crash.
