Slick conditions make for dangerous roads in NJ
The wintry mix made for some dangerous conditions on roads throughout the Garden State Tuesday.
Plows and sanders were out on the major roadways and side streets. However, there were spinouts and accidents on many roads.
The slick roads claimed the life of a truck driver in Fair Lawn during the afternoon commute. Police in Englewood say there were also several serious accidents on their roadways.
The snow switched to sleet and cold rain throughout the evening. Meteorologists say the wintry mix will continue to make a mess of the roads throughout the night.
Police across the Garden State are urging drivers to stay off the roads if at all possible. They warn motorists to take it slow and give themselves enough time to get to their destinations.
